‘Yahoo CEO bans Working At Home’, Why The Controversy?
While I understand employees not being happy with Mayer’s decision to ban working at home, she has a job to do & that is make Yahoo profitable & pull it out of the downward spiral it is in. She wants her employees accessible & in touch with each other in a timely manner.
It may be re-instate it when the ship changes direct, but for now she is doing what she thinks is best.
Are people just attacking her because she doesn’t fit the mold of a working woman who has children??
I found this comment from Google’s chief financial officer interesting:
“The surprising question we get is: ‘How many people telecommute at Google?’ And our answer is: ‘As few as possible,'” Patrick Pichette, said recently. “There is something magical about spending the time together.”
